Course Description:

Crossroads Discipleship Training School is a six month course designed for families, couples and mature singles wanting to know God more and make Him known in the world. We offer CDTS every April. However, all students are welcome to join any DTS throughout the year. Check out what DTS is currently studying.
To accomodate families, we run multiple programs for children of students. Our nursery is for children two and younger. Three to five year-olds are welcome to attend the "Little Lights" Preschool where a missions focused curriculum is taught. The Foundations School is a "mini-DTS" for children six to seventeen. Students will then embark on an outreach to Cambodia, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, Indonesia, China, Tibet, Azerbaijan, or India.
The first three months are spent living on campus in Colorado Springs in a family friendly environment on our 9.4-acre campus. A nursery, preschool and Foundations School are available for children. Classes for adults run in weekly modules with topics like: Hearing the Voice of God, Intercession, The Father Heart of God, Spiritual Warfare, Relationships, Evangelism and Missions.
Families and staff are sent out in teams to the most unreached areas of the world for two months. All family members participate alongside long-term YWAM missionaries in a variety of ministries, including teaching English, working with orphans and refugees, anti-sex trafficking and evangelism.

Meet The Leaders: Rafe and Michele Blood

bloods family

“As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:9

Thank God for His higher ways!

About 16 years ago, our family completed our Crossroads DTS and our passion to see His kingdom move on this Earth has only grown since. You see...

The world’s way says when you’re married: it’s time to settle down.

The world’s way says when you have kids: it’s time to settle down.

The world’s way says when you’re over 30: it’s time to settle down.
But God’s way says: “Rise up and shine, for your light has come. The shining-greatness of the Lord has risen upon you. For see, darkness will cover the earth. Much darkness will cover the people. But the Lord will rise upon you, and His shining-greatness will be seen upon you. Nations will come to your light. And kings will see the shining-greatness of the Lord on you.”
God’s call for everyone that has turned their life over to him is that they shall spread His great news to all that they meet, sharing His transformative love with all that haven’t heard. YOU are a part of that call! Possibly the two most powerful units God created are that of marriage and family. And our hearts for couples, families and mature singles are to honor the potential of these powerful units to see His kingdom on this Earth! We’ve seen God miraculously transform our own family and, as we walk out in faith to fulfill His great commission and invite fellow worshippers to His Kingdom, we know He has great and glorious plans for you too!
In our various travels we have witnessed God reclaim the lost into His welcoming arms, restore brokenness in families, couples and mature singles with His undying mercy and renew the vitality in the lives of His children with his unending love. This is the heart of Crossroads DTS. We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of His story through CDTS and look forward to your part in it, too.
Let us live our lives in a way that cries: May the Lamb that was slain receive the reward for His suffering!
God bless and we are excited to meet you.

-Rafe and Michele

"I thought I knew a lot about missions and being strategic in my efforts...until I took this course. The content blew my mind!...and gave me a lot of vision for joining with God's heart in reaching the least-reached." -Dustin

A typical day's schedule:
  • 6:00 - Wake up: Drink coffee, splash cold water on your face, quiet time with Jesus
  • 6:45 - Head downstairs for breakfast (don't skip it, you need the brain food)
  • 7:15 - Back to your room to get ready and frantically finish up whatever assignments you didn't do over the weekend
  • 9:00 - Worship and Intercession with the whole base. Get ready to interact and share the piece of Jesus only you have with others!
  • 10:30 - Class
  • 12:30 - Lunch. Usually much more interactive than the grunts and yawns you hear at breakfast
  • 1:30 - Work Duty: Housekeeping (among others)! Plug in that iPod and sing loudly with your classmate while cleaning
  • 3:30 - Stop by Kairos to get a coffee and then back to class
  • 5:30 - Dinner. Hope for the fantastic curry or Mediterranean meals that the kitchen crew makes
  • 6:30 - Jump into a car with a classmate headed downtown to walk/run the free 5K with the rest of Colorado Springs every Tuesday (hey...10 times and you get a free t-shirt)
  • 7:30 - Head to the campus pool for some swimming and quality time with other families.
  • 9:15 - Hang out with the family or roommates, read and wind down, get ready for bed
  • 10:30 - Bed. Trust me, you need the rest
IMG_0669                 I highly recommend doing a CDTS at YWAMSF in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It was very helpful in helping me come out of my shell and start sharing in class. The teaching was excellent with themes like the father heart of God and how to hear His voice. I believe God used it in my life to bring me more into wholeness, which is His desire for all His saints. Outreach was great and is a two sided coin. While you are reaching people that have never heard the gospel, there is also a refining going on within you at the same time. You will come back being more like Jesus and a greater ability to walk in the Spirit and hear God's voice. Along with my own growth in the Lord, I watched others change before my eyes. -Elwood Trost
